I’m originally from a Philadelphia suburb, but I now live in Brooklyn, New York. As a contributing editor at PopMatters, I write about comics, graphic novels, and music. My work has appeared in The Brooklyn Rail, XLR8R, Blurt, in New Times newspapers across the U.S., and more.

For several years, I wrote music criticism and feature stories about music production for Remix magazine. I was a frequent contributor to Orlando Weekly between 2005 and 2008, writing artist profiles, record reviews, and show previews. I served as a freelance assistant editor and contributing writer to Chord magazine in 2007. I also worked as a researcher with former Philadelphia Inquirer music editor/NPR contributor Tom Moon on his book 1,000 Recordings To Hear Before You Die (Workman, 2008).

I’ll be posting links to my recent work on this site as well as short pieces relating to my interests in investigative journalism, media criticism, comics and graphic novels, and music. Thanks for reading.
