I am a writer and editor based in Brooklyn, New York. My features and criticism have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Hyperallergic, the Chicago Reader, the Washington City Paper, the Comics Journal, and elsewhere. I also work in SEO, and I’m exploring new opportunities.

Most recently, I led art- and design-focused editorial projects and managed incredibly popular SEO content at a Manhattan tech company for nearly five and a half years.

Before covering comics art and graphic novels, I was a contributing music critic and features writer at Orlando Weekly, the Brooklyn Rail, Miami New Times, New York Press, and lots more. For five years at Remix magazine, I wrote about new records and profiled artists and producers. I was also a copywriter and editor at Scholastic, where I worked on educational resources and marketing campaigns for more than a decade.

In 2005, I was a researcher for NPR music critic Tom Moon on his book 1,000 Recordings to Hear Before You Die, which you should totally read before you die.
